Laura Barritt Counselling

A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life

Hello and welcome, I am Laura Barritt, a qualified Person Centred Counsellor based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

How I can support you

Does leaving the house some days feel overwhelming at times? Would more than a handful of hours sleep a night feel amazing without the buzz of your mind going round and round.

Sometimes struggling with feelings of anxiety or lack of self-esteem can really impact our day-to-day life. I recall that feeling well, wanting nothing more than to pull the duvet up over myself and let the day pass me by because it all felt too much. I knew it was 'normal' to feel some anxiety occasionally (who hasn't experienced a small tummy turn of worry or a twinge in their chests at times?) BUT.....if your emotions become bigger than you......maybe it's time to look at why?

Understanding what is going on for us is the key to beginning to start to feel better. I can help work with you to explore what is making you feel out of sorts, low or sad.

Talking to a counsellor like myself can help to begin to unravel where these unsettling feelings came from, why are they there and how can they be processed.

The bumps in our journey, the dips in our mountain range or the deep pit we might find ourselves sitting in, can turn into feelings of confusion and loneliness (among a whole array of other emotions!)

As a Person Centred Counsellor, I will gently question, challenge you and reflect your words back to you as I sit alongside you while you start unwrapping your emotions.

I am qualified to offer counselling to suit your needs; whether that be in person, on the phone or online.

Together we can explore your situation in a way that leads to fresh perspectives – and perhaps a new understanding of yourself. Therapy isn’t about giving you solutions or advice, but empowering you to make your own changes.

I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds, coming to me with a diverse range of problems. As an insured and qualified therapist I am a member of the National Counsellors Society (NCS), and abide by their code of ethics.
